Tias Ceviche

- 1lb of red snapper or tilapia, fresh, cubed in small chunks inspect for bones and remove if any shopping list
- 1 lb of cooked shrimp, diced. shopping list
- 1/2 large cucumber diced small shopping list
- 1/2 red onion diced small shopping list
- 3 green onions diced small shopping list
- 2-3 serrano chiles diced small..you can use jalapenos. If you dont like it with heat then remove seeds and stems shopping list
- 2 tomatoes finely diced and seeded shopping list
- 1-2 bunches of cilantro rinsed and diced shopping list
- 1 large avocade diced shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups of lemon juice shopping list
How to make it
- In a non reactive dish or bowl, add fish and lemon juice. stir well, and cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, I like to do it the night before. stir at least once throughout marinade process. the fish will be cooked in the acids of the lemons, and will turn opaque. After marinading, remove from refrigerator, drain most liquid out of dish, and save for later~~This juice(marinade) is a considered a delicacy to most mexican families!! Or you can discard if you wish.
- Add all other ingredients to fish, except avocado. Place back in fridge and let sit for another 2 hours. When you are ready to serve, add in the avocado and serve on top of tostadas, with chips, or crackers. We like to eat it on top of tostadas and topped with hot sauce.

I love Ceviche!! I guess I make ours kind of plain and let others add what they like. This recipe looks great, I will have to pick up some tilapia and give this a try! Thanks for sharing :)
