Ingredients

How to make it

  • Melt butter in a pot (do not burn)
  • add shallots and cook over low heat until soft and sweet
  • add carrots and cook until slightly soft
  • add mince and cook while mashing with a fork
  • once mince is cooked and most of the lumps are out, add the garlic, thyme and coriander and cook
  • add salt and pepper to taste and simmer over low heat
  • add sago
  • remember to add water if mixture becomes too dry
  • line a pastry dish and add mixture
  • cover with another layer of pastry
  • sprinkle with some milk, using a brush cover the top layer of pastry with the milk
  • place in a pre heated oven and bake until pastry turns golden brown
  • enjoy
