How to make it
- Wash and peel potatoes then slice to desired thickness.
- Boil potatoes in water until fork tender then drain off half the liquid, saving liquid.
- Add butter, salt and pepper.
- Mix cornstarch with 1/3 cup reserved water.
- Turn heat to high and slowly add cornstarch.
- Simmer for 10 minutes then serve.
