How to make it

  • Wash and peel potatoes then slice to desired thickness.
  • Boil potatoes in water until fork tender then drain off half the liquid, saving liquid.
  • Add butter, salt and pepper.
  • Mix cornstarch with 1/3 cup reserved water.
  • Turn heat to high and slowly add cornstarch.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes then serve.
