Pound Cake From A Cake Mix Recipe

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Beat butter and sugar till fluffy.
  • Add eggs,one at a time,beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla,then water or buttermilk and sour cream,beat well. Add cake mix and flour,beat well.
  • Pour batter into a tube or bundt pan and bake 1 hour or till done. Cool on rack 15 mins then remove from pan..

    Well I did make up this recipe last night & was so happy with the results. Yes, it's definately a pound cake & sooooo good. For anyone else who decides to try it out, you will see that after you have added the buttermilk & sour cream it will look kind of curdled(this concerned me) but after you beat it well that goes away & is nice & smooth before you add the dry ingredients. Thanks again for a great recipe. Would love to give you another 5 forks but it won't let me of course.
