Ingredients

How to make it

  • Saute onion, celery, and garlic in butter until transparent. Season with Sea Salt.
  • Once cooled, mix with ground chuck, turkey, bread crumbs, thyme and eggs.
  • After it's well mixed, shape into a loaf in two 8.5 x 4.5 pans.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for an hour, uncovered.
  • About 10 minutes before it's done, take out and coat top with ketchup-barbecue sauce mix, return to oven to finish baking.
  • Serve both for a big dinner, or freeze one for a meal later.

There will never be too many great meatloaf recipes and this is a good one. Because I'm on a Mediterranean kick, I'll add some chopped kalamata olives and a pinch of Basil but you got the thing covered for non weirdos. "Aucun plan de bataille ne survit contact avec l'ennemi" (no battle plan ever survives contact with the enemy), and this is usually true of recipes and good cooks. RJ
