Midwestern Pork Chops and Beer Brats

- 2 cans or bottles of beer shopping list
- 2 small onions,sliced shopping list
- 2 Tbs cider vinegar shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic,smashed shopping list
- 2 tsp fresh thyme shopping list
- 1/2 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- 2 Tbs vegetable oil shopping list
- 4 bone-in pork chops(10-12 oz) shopping list
- 4 bratwurst(uncooked,if available) shopping list
How to make it
- In bowl,blend 1 c beer,1 sliced onion,the vinegar,garlic,theye,sugar and pepper. Whisk in oil. Transfer to resealable plastic bag and add pork chops. Marinate,refrigerated 2 hours
- Heat gas grill to med-high or charcoal grill to med-hot coals. Pour remaining beer into med. size saucepan and add remaining sliced onion. Add bratwurst. Simmer gently,5 mins(if brats are pre-cook,just heat through.
- Add pork chops to grill ,cover and cook 5 mins. Uncover grill and turn chops over. Add brats to grill and continue to cook chops and brats 5 to 7 mins more until pork registers 155 on thermometer. and brats are nicely browned. Serve
