How to make it

  • Combine olive oil,garlic and red pepper in large skillet and cook over med-low heat until garlic is golden,about 6 mins.
  • Crush tomatoes into skillet with your hands;rinse can with 1 c water;add to sauce
  • Add a handful of torn basil leaves and season with salt. Increase heat to med . and simmer uncovered till thick,20 to 25 mins. Makes 4 cups of sauce.

    I've never seen that brand of Tomatoes. Is it a regional specialty or have I just missed seeing them?
