Grandma Maronis Meatballs and Sauce

- nonstick cooking spray shopping list
- 1 lb. ground beef chuck shopping list
- 1-1/2 c finely grated pecorino romano cheese shopping list
- 1-1/2 c fresh breadcrumbs shopping list
- 3 large eggs shopping list
- 1/4 c milk shopping list
- 1/2 c minced fresh parsley(flat-leaf) shopping list
- 1/4 c fresh chopped basil shopping list
- 1/2 small onion,grated shopping list
- 3 Tbs minced onion shopping list
- coarse salt shopping list
- 1 lb spahhetti shopping list
- 1/2 c fresh basil leaves,julienned shopping list
- Fresh grated pecorino romano cheese,for serving shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly coat baking sheet with spray;set aside.
- In large bow,mix together beef,cheese,1 c breadcrumbs,eggs,milk herbs,onion and garlic;season with salt. If mixture seems too loose,mix in remaining 1/2 c breadcrumbs(I used all)
- Roll meat mixture into 2-1/2 oz balls;transfer to prepared baking sheet. Transfer to oven and bake till beef is cooked through and lightly browned,25-30 mins.
- Meanwhile,bring large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add spaghetti and cook till al dente,according to pkg. directions;drain
- Heat sauce in a medium saucepan over med heat. Transfer meatballs to sauce and cook for at leat 15 mins. Transfer meatballs and 1 c of sauce to a bowl and set aside. Remove remaining sauce from heat. Stir in basil and add drained spaghetti;toss to combine. Transfer spaghetti to large serving platter;top with meatballs and reserved sauce. Serve immediately ,sprinkled with cheese.
