Ingredients

How to make it

  • Place Turnip Greens into a two-quart, round, microwave-proof glass casserole dish.
  • Add water, soup, black pepper and ham. Cover and place in the microwave.
  • Cook on high for 10 to 12 minutes or until tender but firm.
  • Carefully remove the casserole dish from the microwave and top with cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs.
  • Note: For a conventional cooking method, place Turnip Greens in a pot of cold water and boil until tender (approximately 20 minutes). Drain water and add the soup, black pepper and ham to the greens and heat thoroughly. Transfer the prepared turnip greens to a serving dish and top with cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs.
