How to make it

  • Combine All Ingredients In A 2 Qt. Heavy Metal Saucepan. Stir Until All Lumps Are Dissolved. Cook and Stir On Med. High Until All Sugar is Dissolved and Mixture Feels Smooth.
  • When Candy Begins to Boil, Reduce Heat to Low and Stop Stirring.
  • Continue Cooking to the Soft Ball Stage, Remove from heat and add Butter. When Fudge Is Cool to the Touch, Add Vanilla and Beat Until It Begins to Solidify.
  • Quickly Add Chopped Pecans and Cherries and Transfer to An 8 x 8 Buttered Dish.
  • Let Set for 25 Minutes and Then Cut Into Squares, Cover and Store in a Cool Place.

    Hey Tami, I need sweeties for Saturday and I've decided chocolate fudge is on the menu.
    Not keen on Hersheys. Sorry. We dont get it in Scotland except specialist shops. I guess you like what ur used to eh?
    Anyway, at what stage do you stop beating? I always end up with a rock-solid clump I have to chip away at...Tastes good but doesnt look too great
