Ingredients

How to make it

  • Start coals in grill.
  • Empty half of beer from can See Photo. Add enough BBQ sauce to can to fill 3/4 full See Photo. Stand beer can upright, slide bottom of chicken over can, so can is in middle of chicken and chicken legs are upright. See Photo
  • Stand beer can and chicken on grill over coals See Photo. Cook for two hours or until done. After 1 hour of cooking begin mopping BBQ sauce over chicken about every 15 minutes. Cook chicken to 165 degrees.
  • Once done, remove chicken from grill, lay in pan and cover with foil. After about 15 minutes CAREFULLY remove can and cut up chicken to serve with additional BBQ sauce on side..
  • Note: Contents of can will boil in to chicken during grilling. This is normal.

Great post. I reckon Bud Light insults th chicken but whatever lights your fire; no pun intended. Next weeks BBQ gets a couple of these. RJ

This sounds really good. I have a chicken in the freezer that I was wanting to try on the bbq so I think this is the way I will do it. Thanks!
