Magic Dust - Dry Rub

I use this seasoning mix as a dry rub for ribs, in my Tangy Pit Beans recipe (which I am also posting) and anything else I feel needs a little flavor kick. The rub comes from Mike Mills and printed in the cookbook Peace, Love and Barbecue. Read more The rub makes 2 1/2 cups of seasoning and lasts for several months kept in a Ziploc bag. Ingredients
- 1/2 c. paprika shopping list
- 1/4 c. salt shopping list
- 1/4 c. sugar shopping list
- 2 T. mustard powder shopping list
- 1/4 c. chili powder shopping list
- 1/4 c. cumin (ground) shopping list
- 2 T. freshly ground pepper shopping list
- 1/4 c. granulated garlic shopping list
- 2 T. cayenne powder shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients, and store in a tightly covered container or in a Ziploc bag.
