Vanilla Chip Cherry Cookies

- 1 cup butter shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1/4 tsp almond extract shopping list
- 2 1/4 cups flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 pkg (16 oz.) vanilla or white chips shopping list
- 1 jar (10 oz.) marachino cherries, drained and chopped shopping list
How to make it
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and both of the sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time
- Beat well after each addition
- Beat in the almond extract
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt
- Gradually add to the creamed mixture
- Mix well
- Stir in the chips and the cherries
- Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets
- Bake at 350 F for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned
- Remove to wire racks to cool
