- 1 lb. of halibut steaks, cubed shopping list
- 1 lb. of medium shrimp - peeled and deveined shopping list
- 1 lb. of mussels, cleaned and debearded shopping list
- 2 lb.of clams in shell, scrubbed shopping list
- 1 lb. of cooked crabmeat shopping list
- 1 lb. of bay or sea scallops, rinsed and drained shopping list
- 1/4 c. of olive oil shopping list
- 1 chopped onion shopping list
- 4 stalks of chopped celery, with leaves shopping list
- 4 sliced carrots shopping list
- 4 potatoes of peeled and cubed shopping list
- 1 tbsp. of minced garlic shopping list
- 1/4 c. of chopped parsley shopping list
- 2 tbsp. of chopped fresh cilantro shopping list
- 1 (28 oz) can of crushed tomatoes shopping list
- 2 c. of tomato juice shopping list
- 2 (8 oz) jars of clam juice shopping list
- 1/2 c. of white wine shopping list
- 2 tsp of dried basil shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp of dried oregano shopping list
- 1 tbsp. of dried thyme shopping list
- 3/4 tsp of chili powder shopping list
- 1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- First add oil to a large pan over medium flame.
- Saute onion, celery, carrots, potatoes, and the garlic cooking approx. 5-10 min.
- Next add in the parsley, cilantro, tomatoes, tomatoes juice, clam juice, white wine, basil, oregano, thyme, chili powder, hot pepper, and salt and pepper.
- Now you want to lower the flame and cook around 2 hrs.
- Just before you serve this stew, add in the fish.
- Let it cook about 5 more minutes, letting all the fish get heated through.
- Search for unopened mussels and remove them before serving.
