How to make it

  • Beat eggs slightly.
  • Add next 5 ingredients; mix well.
  • Fold in pecans; pour into unbaked pastry shell.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees; bake for 40 minutes more.
  • DO NOT OVERBAKE.
  • If crust browns too much, cover top lightly with foil.

    Those sneaky Louisiana people. They snuck over the Mississippi-Louisiana line and stole our famous Lumberton, MS pecans and this recipe also. Good stuff.
