How to make it

  • In your crockpot, combine sugar, flour, salt and pepper.
  • Stir in water and vinegar.
  • Add cabbage and onion and stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook on low 3-4 hours.

    Yowsers! This is awesome. However, it was just this side of too sweet. I'll definitely cut back on the brown sugar. I didn't shred my cabbage, but rather chunked it so it wouldn't be too mushed out. I also added some caraway seed to give it that Bavarian style sauerkraut flavor. That was a fantastic addition. Thanks for sharing!
