How to make it

  • Put butter into a 12 x 9-inch pan. Heat in oven until butter is sizzling hot. Be careful not to burn.
  • In a separate bowl, beat eggs very well. Stir in milk, salt and flour, making a very thin batter.
  • Pour batter into the sizzling hot pan. Sprinkle berries over top, then sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake at 425 degrees F for about 45 minutes. Batter will rise then fall.
  • Makes 12 servings.
  • Serve with whipped topping or vanilla ice cream.

This is a very tasty dessert. The raspberries and the sugar end up like a jam. I would highly recommend using a 10 x 13 pan for this. I had major juice spillover in the oven which caused quite a lot of smoke. I had to have all the doors and windows open for about 20 minutes and used up a lot of aluminum foil trying to catch the juice. The bottom was pretty soggy the next day. I suppose from all the sugar. Still - a very delicious and pretty recipe. Added some pictures.
