Baking Powder Biscuits

- 2 cups Pillsbury's Best shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 cup milk and water, half each shopping list
- 1 TBS butter shopping list
- 1 TBS lard shopping list
How to make it
- Sift the flour, salt and baking powder together twice.
- Cream butter and lard together, and add it to the dry ingredients, using the tips of your fingertips. Then add the liquid, mixing with a knife, until you have a very soft dough. Place on your mixing board. Pat out lightly until 3/4 of an inch thick. Cut out and bake in a hot oven for 15 minutes.

Oct 4/16 wow a great recipe. Instead of patting flat I shaped into 2 oz balls. Did not know what temp a hot oven is but set mine for 400 degress which is about 450 as my oven runs hot. Will be making again.

I cut this in half otherwise made exactly as written. They had a nice flavor and were very fluffy inside. They tasted good cold, which is unusual in a lot of biscuits. More in IMI 3/20/16
