How to make it

  • Melt butter & olive oil over medium-high heat until bubbly; add red pepper flakes & diced shallot, saute until onion is tender. Add tomatoes and cook until almost all of the liquid is gone;stir often about 25 minutes.Add the vodka, bring to a boil. cook for 1-2 minutes. Add cream, cook until thickened. Add sauce to pasta, mix well, top with cheese & basil. Serve immediately.

    hmm.. I've never tried Vodka sauce though it always catches my eye @ the grocery. Homemade is better. Now, just need to pick up some vodka..
