A La Vodka Sauce

- 1 tbsp butter shopping list
- 1 tbsp olive oil shopping list
- 1 shallot, diced shopping list
- 1 28 oz can plum tomatoes drained, seeded, chopped shopping list
- 1 cup heavy cream shopping list
- 1/4 cup vodka shopping list
- 1/4 tsp red pepper shopping list
- 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped shopping list
- Parmesean, grated fo garnish shopping list
- salt & pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter & olive oil over medium-high heat until bubbly; add red pepper flakes & diced shallot, saute until onion is tender. Add tomatoes and cook until almost all of the liquid is gone;stir often about 25 minutes.Add the vodka, bring to a boil. cook for 1-2 minutes. Add cream, cook until thickened. Add sauce to pasta, mix well, top with cheese & basil. Serve immediately.
