How to make it

  • Grill or broil steak to medium rare.(I do the stovetop/oven method with my cast iron grill pan, if only making one steak)
  • For Creole Remoulade Crab Salad

  • Combine all ingredients and set aside in fridge until ready to plate salad.
  • For Dressing

  • In medium glass bowl or blender, combine all ingredients other than olive oil.
  • Whisk or pulse to mix well.
  • Slowly add olive oil a lil at a time, at first, whisking or pulsing constantly until emulsified then add rest of the oil, continue to whisk or pulse until well combined.
  • To Plate Salad

  • Put bed of greens on serving platter or individual serving plates.
  • Slice steak and arrange over greens.
  • Place 1 ice cream scoop sized mound of crab salad per serving.
  • Sprinkle with fried onions and drizzle with dressing at serving.
