Sour Cream and Ground Beef Layered Casserole

- 1 pd. ground sirloin or chuck shopping list
- 1/2 medium onion,finely chopped shopping list
- 2 table.grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 2 medium tomatoes peeled and diced, or 1: 8- ounce can tomatoes shopping list
- 2-3 cloves garlic,minced shopping list
- 1 table. sugar shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 4 ounces cream cheese -room temperature shopping list
- 4 ounces sour cream shopping list
- 1/2 cup green onions, thinly sliced shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups cooked egg noodles shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups shedded sharp cheddar cheese shopping list
- paprika shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Grease 13 by 9 baking dish.In a large skillet cook ground beef with the chopped onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink,drain.Add tomatoes,parmesan,garlic,sugar,salt and pepper.Bring mixture to boil,reduce heat and simmer 15 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.Transfer meat mixture to greased baking dish,set aside.In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sour cream and green onions on low speed until smooth.Spread the sour cream mixture over the ground beef mixture in the dish.Top with noodles.Cover with grated cheese and sprinkle with paprika.Bake for 25-30 mintutes,or until hot and bubbly.
