Wet Burritos

- 1 lb lean ground meat ( I use turkey breast) (Use any ground meat you like!) shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 tsp paprika shopping list
- 1 tsp Mexican oregano shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp chili powder shopping list
- 3/4 tsp cumin shopping list
- 1/2 tsp black pepper shopping list
- 1 15 oz can diced tomatoes, in sauce, divided shopping list
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded (You can use mexican blend) shopping list
- 4 large flour tortillas shopping list
- 2 cups refried beans, with 1/4 tsp cumin added shopping list
- 1 10 oz can enchilada sauce (homemade if you have it) shopping list
- 1 18 oz jar homestyle beef gravy (OR turkey gravy) shopping list
How to make it
- Brown & cook throughly ground meat, onion, garlic, makng sure to chop the meat into very fine pieces.
- Drain any fat.
- Add Worcestershire, paprika, oregano, chili powder, cumin, pepper and half the can tomatoes wth sauce, simmer for 5 minutes.
- In another pan, heat beans with 1/4 tsp cumin.
- For gravy, combine enchilada sauce, gravy, and other half of the tomatoes, heat until almost boiling.
- Soften tortillas in microwave wrapped in water moistened paper towels, (or your favorite way)
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- To assemble burritos, layer 1/4 meat mixture, 1/4 beans, & 1/4 cheese.
- Fold sides of burrito in, then roll from the ther sides until you have a "package".
- Place seam side down in a 13X9 inch baking dish, pour sauce mixture over all and sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and burritos are heated through.
- Serve with extra sauce spooned over top,you can also
- serve with sour cream, chopped onions, salsa, jalapenos, chopped lettuce & chopped tomatoes as desired.
