How to make it

  • Brown & cook throughly ground meat, onion, garlic, makng sure to chop the meat into very fine pieces.
  • Drain any fat.
  • Add Worcestershire, paprika, oregano, chili powder, cumin, pepper and half the can tomatoes wth sauce, simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In another pan, heat beans with 1/4 tsp cumin.
  • For gravy, combine enchilada sauce, gravy, and other half of the tomatoes, heat until almost boiling.
  • Soften tortillas in microwave wrapped in water moistened paper towels, (or your favorite way)
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • To assemble burritos, layer 1/4 meat mixture, 1/4 beans, & 1/4 cheese.
  • Fold sides of burrito in, then roll from the ther sides until you have a "package".
  • Place seam side down in a 13X9 inch baking dish, pour sauce mixture over all and sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and burritos are heated through.
  • Serve with extra sauce spooned over top,you can also
  • serve with sour cream, chopped onions, salsa, jalapenos, chopped lettuce & chopped tomatoes as desired.

    This is the first I have heard of a wet burrito too, but it sounds good.

    I've never really known what a "wet burrito" was either. Looks quite interesting - I like "saucy" foods. And thanks for your reply about my Sweet Potato Fry recipe. Your kitty with the long white whiskers is precious!
