Baked Tilapia With Lemon

- 2 lbs Tilapia shopping list
- 1 Cup plain yogurt shopping list
- 3 Tblsp. sour cream shopping list
- hot sauce shopping list
- salt & pepper shopping list
- 1 lemon (juice and rind) shopping list
- mint & lemon verbena herbs if you have it) shopping list
- 2 cups Panko bread Crumbs shopping list
- 1 tsp Dry italian seasoning herbs shopping list
How to make it
- Rinse Tilapia lightly in cold water, pat dry with paper towels and let them rest on fresh paper towels while you prepare the other ingredients.
- Salt & pepper both sides of each filet.
- In a dredging dish (13x9) :Then :
- Combine:
- 1 cup plain yogurt, add a couple good dashes of hot sauce, grate lemon rind and cut lemon in half adding the juice from 1/2 of lemon & sour cream. Whisk to combine.
- Dip each fish filet in yogurt mixture. Flip and do the other side.
- In seperate dredging pan:
- 2 cups Panko Crumbs and 1 tsp Italian spices-mix to combine.
- You can add finely chopped fresh mint & lemon verbena if you have it at this time to the crumbs.
- Dip fish in panko crumbs gently pushing on each fiet so the crumbs will stick to the fish. Do this with all of the filets.
- Place in baking pan (spray some non stick for easy clean up)
- Place in 350 degree oven (middle rack) for 20-25 minutes.
- Enjoy! This is wonderful with a Cranberry and Walnut Quinoa and Tossed Green Salad. Very satisfying healthy flavor packed meal!
