Bacon Baked Chicken With Creamy Mushroom Sauce

- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts shopping list
- 1 teaspoon seasoning salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 4 slices bacon, each slice cut in half shopping list
- 1/2 cup mushrooms, halved shopping list
- 1/4 cup heavy cream shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Place the butter in a baking dish and melt it in the preheating oven. Add chicken, turn to coat with butter. Sprinkle with seasoning salt and garlic on both sides. Lay bacon strips on top (4 half-strips on each chicken breast). Sprinkle with mushrooms.
- Bake in preheated oven for 45 to 60 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink.
- Remove chicken, bacon and mushrooms to a platter and keep warm. Pour juices from baking dish into a small saucepan and whisk together with cream over low heat until thickened. Add mushrooms to sauce; pour over chicken.
