Cheesy Spinach Appetizer Recipe
This is really good, even if your not a big fan of spinich like I am. Also fairly quick and easy.

Ingredients
  • 1 8oz pkg cream cheese, softened
  • 1 package(10 oz ) of frozen creamed spinach, thawed
  • 2 cups swiss cheese, shredded or cubed
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 loaf of baguette-style french bread

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. In medium bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth
  3. Add all remaining ingredients except baguette; mix well.
  4. Cut approx a 1 inch deep V cut in the top of baguette.
  5. Remove bread wedge; discard
  6. Spoon and spread spinach mixture into opening
  7. Wrap securely in foil
  8. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until throughly heated.
  9. To serve, cut baguette into slices.
  10. Store in refridgerator.
  11. Note:A 9oz package of frozen spinach, thawed and well drained, and 2 tablespoons milk or half and half, can be used instead of the creamed spinach.

Okay, this looks gooooooood! I am a real garlic lover and I'd probably add 2-3 cloves of minced garlic ;-) Thank you for this wonderful recipe idea!


Sounds Fabulous! Great idea to bake in the baguette! (Be sure to save the extra bread to chop and dip into something else if not needed for this)! Great post!
