Cheesy Spinach Appetizer Recipe

Ingredients

1 8oz pkg cream cheese, softened

1 package(10 oz ) of frozen creamed spinach, thawed

2 cups swiss cheese, shredded or cubed

1 tsp. garlic powder

1 loaf of baguette-style french bread

Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees

In medium bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth

Add all remaining ingredients except baguette; mix well.

Cut approx a 1 inch deep V cut in the top of baguette.

Remove bread wedge; discard

Spoon and spread spinach mixture into opening

Wrap securely in foil

Bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until throughly heated.

To serve, cut baguette into slices.

Store in refridgerator.

Note:A 9oz package of frozen spinach, thawed and well drained, and 2 tablespoons milk or half and half, can be used instead of the creamed spinach.
