How to make it

  • Brown hamburger with onion and garlic.
  • Add the spegetti sauce, water, chilli powder and Italian seasonings
  • Add any of the optional ingredients at this time.
  • Simmer 10 minutes.
  • Put a thin layer of sauce in a 9x12 pan.
  • Put a layer of uncooked lasagna noodles.(3-4 noodles)
  • Put a layer of 1/3 of sauce over the noodles
  • Put half of the ricotta over the sauce
  • put 1/3 the mozzerella over the ricotta and sprinkle some parmeasan over that.
  • Repeat another layer starting with the noodles.
  • Top with the last of the sauce and mozzerela and parmeasn cheese.
  • Cover with a sheet of alumiun foil that you buttered lightly on the inside next to the lasagna. (this prevents the cheese from sticking..
  • At this point you can freeze it or store it in the fridge for use later that day or bake it at 350 for 45-50 minutes. until it is bubbly.

  • Notes:
  • No need to cook the noodles ahead that is what the extra water is for in the sauce.
  • Remember the noodles expand so you don't have to crowd the noodles in, 3-4 is enough on a layer. (I use 3 1/2 - 3 long and the 1/2 noodle down the side. and alternate the side in the next layer)
