Ingredients

How to make it

  • Measure out Milk and set aside for at least 30 minutes
  • Remove Eggs from Refridgerator for at least 30 minutes
  • Pre-Heat Oven to 450 Degrees
  • Make sure everything is room temperature, this is a critical step.
  • Combine all Ingredients and whisk together till a medium thin batter is achieved
  • Coat a 9x12 Muffin or Baking pan with Shortening or Fat Drippings
  • Place pan in the oven for appx 3-5 minutes or until shortening or fat is liquified and hot (it should be smoking just slightly)
  • Pour batter into muffin pan (about a 1/4" of batter) in each
  • Immediately place in oven and shut the door
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until these little beauties rise way up
  • NOTE- no matter what you do, don't open the oven door till they are golden brown and risen. If you open the oven door they will deflate! If you have a window and a light on your oven it will come in handy with this dish.
  • Have everything ready to go and server immediately, cover with gravy and enjoy!

My Mom used to make Yorkshire pudding alongside her Roast Beef when I was growing up. I've never given it a try myself. Gorgeous picture and excellent post. Welcome to GR. Keep them coming!
