How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 350' and line bottom of 9x13" baking dish with parchment paper. Spread pecans in pie plate and toast about 8 mins,until golden. Chop pecans and let cool.
  • In bowl of electric mixer,beat butter and oil with granulated sugar and brown sugar till creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla till smooth. In small bowwl,whisk flour with baking soda and salt;beat the dry ingredients into mixer at slow speed. Add chocolate chips and pecans;beat just till incorporated.
  • Transfer dough to prepared baking pan and press into even layer. Bakeabout 20 mins,until lightly browned and nearly set in center. Let cool completely,then run knife around the edges and invert the rectangle. Peel off paper and invert onto cutting board. Cut and serve.
  • Can be stored in airtight container for up to 5 days
