Spicy Barbecue Sauce Recipe

Spicy Barbecue Sauce Recipe
BBQ sauces are a dime and dozen, but this one is pretty good. I even use it to make grilled burritos. Goes great with ribs, steak, chicken or brisket too!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (don't use that little plastic thingy)
  • 2-3 tablespoons chili powder or ground red chilies
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauc
  • 3 medium onions, chopped (I'd approx. it's 1 1/2 cups)
  • 2 jalapeno chilies, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 12-ounce can tomato paste
  • 1 12-ounce bottle or can of beer (I'm a Guiness girl myself)

Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan.
  2. Heat to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low.
  4. Cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve warm.
