How to make it

  • I use a bread machine on the dough setting
  • First in is the flour
  • add salt and oil
  • Start the bread machine and as it starts mixing I add the water
  • Once it starts to clump I add the yeast
  • Mix for about 5 minutes, remove and form into a ball. Oil lightly and place in a container and allow to sit for 4-5 hours. After sitting it will need punching down and possibly more oil to keep the skin from drying.
  • I use about an hour or so after the last step. This make one pizza about 16" if you like a thin crust. Smaller if you like it thick.
  • When I go to use it I place it on a floured counter and starting in the center knead the dough to the outside. It is a nice dough to twirl if inclined. Try not to flatten the outer edge if you want a puffy outer crust.
  • Top it anyway you like and cook on a stone if you have one. The hotter the oven the better
  • I usually times the ingredients by 4 and make it the same way (2 batches in the bread machine) Both batches are formed into a single ball, oiled and allowed to sit. After punching down I then separate it into 4 balls
