How to make it

  • Combine oats, lemonade and water in medium, heavy saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil, the immediately reduce to a simmer and heat uncovered and unstirred for about 20-25 minutes.
  • Stir well and add lavender, vanilla, salt and honey and continue to cook 5-10 minutes more, until desired consistency. Taste and add more honey or lemon zest, if desired.

    hey Keni sounds so good and I love your "sun spot" as you say! So fresh lavender is a summer plant right? I planted some last summer and it died before I got to use it. Is TX to hot?...or is it a winter plant?

    Look at that little starburst on the edge of the bowl! Did you plan that? :) Question...have you ever cooked with fresh snipped lavender leaves and if so, how do you like to use them?
