Indonesian Mochi

- mochi mix: shopping list
- 100gr sticky rice flour/ sweet rice flour/ mochiko flour shopping list
- 180ml water shopping list
- 50gr sugar shopping list
- top/filling: shopping list
- 4tbs roasted peanut, chopped shopping list
- 2tbs sugar or to taste shopping list
- a dash of salt shopping list
How to make it
- 1. mix the flour with the water and stir it untill well mixed.
- 2. add the sugar, mix well
- 3. put in microwave for 2 mins in high temp, take it out and stir it again with wet wooden spoon. put it back for 30sec.
- 4. take it out and let it cool down in room temp. start filling them once the dough is cooled, it's easier to mold.
- then put plastic wrap on your cutting board. sprinkle a lot of potato / corn starch. i used tapioka. and put the mochi on it. make sure you put some starch on your hands as well.
- mix peanut with sugar n salt. fill the mochi dough, close it and roll it on starch. Or you can use the peanut as topping.
- It's better if you eat them at once because they get hard when you put them in the fridge overnight. If you want to serve them cold, just put them 20 mins in the fridge.
