How to make it

  • Place separated ribs in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, mix together the chinese five-spice powder, garlic, cili sauce, dark soy sauce, dark brown sugar and sunflower oil.
  • Whisk this thoroughly.
  • Pour over ribs and toss to coat evenly.
  • Cover the bowl and marinate in the refrigerator 8 hours or overnight.
  • Cook the ribs over medium-high grill heat, turning frequently, for 30-40 minutes. Brush them with the marinade during cooking.
  • When rib are done, sprinkle them with chives.
  • Finger-lickin' good.
