Ingredients

How to make it

  • Place cleaned chicken breasts in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, whisk together cranberry sauce, salad dressing, and soup mix.
  • Pour over chicken.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 1/2 hours.
  • I start out with it uncovered, but if it looks like the "sauce" is getting too thick or the chicken isn't cooking evenly, I cover it with some foil.

I made something very similar to this tonight - excellent!! My mother, 91, who is not fond of chicken, even asked for seconds. I didn't use Catalina dressing, but orange juice; and I made stove top stuffing and placed it in the pan around the breasts and poured un-thickened chicken gravy over it. I also stuffed the breasts with some of the stuffing. Baked at 400 for around 50 minutes. Perfection!! Well, almost....next time, I'll skin the breasts so we can eat the flavoring I poured over them. Served with green beans and the remaining cranberry sauce. Yum!

Yum. This sounds really good. I love cranberry sauce and Catalina and make chicken at least twice a week, so this one will be on the dinner table this week. Thanks for a wonderful post.
