Made these this morning for my family. They were very easy to make and turned out amazing! A great base recipe for any kind of pancake you want. I added fresh blueberries to some of them and chocolate chips to others. My husband and toddler both approve of them!
Only thing I would change is use less baking powder. (Level the measurement instead of heaping.) We could taste the baking powder in each bite, but adding syrup and applesauce on top of the pancakes helped mask the flavor of it. I also want to try adding a little bit of vanilla as well next time I make them.

Tried this out on the weekend. Halved the recipe, added blueberries and used skim milk. They turned out a little heavy. I think my baking powder has expired. Shall go buy some more and try it again. :) More in IMI11

One thing I wanted to mention is not to overmix the batter. It is better when it is lumpy. Otherwise, they will become rubbery.

This is the best pancake recipe ever!! We add cinnamon, vanilla, and frozen wild blueberries to ours. We do freeze the extras for easy school morning breakfast.

just wondering if anyone saved some batter to use later, or if anyone cooked all the batter and then reheated the pancakes. I live alone and love love the pancakes best I have tasted but I would like to reheat if possible without loosing the fluffy pancake. Thanks.

My daughter and her friend helped me make these this morning, because we checked the pantry and realized that we were out of Bisquick. We sprinkled a few chocolate onto each pancake once it was on the griddle. I separated about a cup of batter for myself and added a dash of cinnamon and instant coffee granules then added a few chocolate chips to it. They were delicious! Who needs bisqick?

What kind of flour did you use? and also aren't you meant to grease the pan, or do you use non-stick?

To ChefMeow!! The first time I tried this recipe was a couple of weeks ago, using white flour and the results were beyond my wildest expectations. I always used Bisquik before but this recipe was everything Chefmeow said it was and then some. The thing I liked about it was not only the end results but the ease of making up the recipe. I altered it just a wee bit by adding a tad of vanilla extract. I also made these with whole wheat flour and never tasted better, ever! Outstanding recipe, Chefmeow, keep up the good work!
