- 2 1lb rectangular loaves of fresh focaccia or flat ciabatta bread, sliced in half horizontally shopping list
- 1-1 1/2lb thick cut bacon shopping list
- 3-4 large tomatoes, sliced shopping list
- 1/2lb leaf lettuce leaves, cleaned shopping list
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise shopping list
- 1T Dijon shopping list
- 3T fresh chives, chopped shopping list
- fresh ground pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Combine mayo, Dijon, and chives well and set aside
- Bake bacon on cooling rack over foil lined cookie sheet at 400 for about 20 minutes.
- When bacon is done, toss the bread, cut sides down, into the oven for about 5 minutes, as the oven is cooling down. This will just begin to toast the bread.
- Spread the mayo mixture over the top piece of the focaccia,
- Layer the bacon on the bottom pieces of the bread and top with tomato slices.
- Sprinkle with fresh ground pepper.
- Add lettuce leaves, then the top pieces of the bread.
- Cut each loaf into 4-6 pieces(we do 4 :)
