Thai Style Talapia

- 1 pound talapia fillets shopping list
- 3 Tbs rice wine vinegar shopping list
- 1 1/2 Tbs soy sauce ( use low sodium ) shopping list
- 1/2 Tbs Sriracha ( Thai ) chili sauce or similar chili sauce( see note ) shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic minced shopping list
- 1 tsp grated ginger shopping list
- Few scallions sliced shopping list
- 1 -2 Tbs oil (I used peanut ) shopping list
How to make it
- Combine the vinegar, soy, chili sauce, garlic and ginger in a bowl
- Heat oil in a heavy duty saute pan over medium heat
- Add the fish, cook a minute on one side
- Carefully turn over fish and add contents of sauce from bowl and pour over the fish
- Sprinkle with the scallions
- Bring to a bubble and then lower heat to a simmer and cook until fish is tender and sauce has cooked off a bit.
- Carefully transfer fish to serving plates or a platter
- Spoon over some of the remaining sauce and the scallions
- Note: one can also use a Thai sweet chili sauce instead of the hot spicy one to vary the flavor of the recipe
- Serve with rice and spoon over any remaining sauce on the rice
