Food Porn Oreo® Cheesecake

- 8oz cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 4T butter, softened shopping list
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 1t vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups crushed Oreos®(I used the Halloween ones :) shopping list
- 1 cup cold whipping cream, whipped til stiff peaks form(or, sub 1 container of Cool Whip(I think:) shopping list
For Brownie Crust
- Your favorite brownie recipe that is for an 8in baking dish shopping list
How to make it
For Brownie Crust
- Prepare recipe and pour into an 8 or 9inch pie plate which has been lightly greased.
- Bake for HALF the recommended time.
- Remove from oven and carefully "press" the bottom of the brownie batter up towards the sides to help form a bit of a crust around the edges of the plate. It won't be pretty, but does it matter?
- Return to oven for about half of the remaining time recommended for your recipe. The crust should be done by then.
- Alternately, pour half the recipe into a spring form pan and bake until spongy and just done through.
- Let cool completely.
For Oreo Filling
- Beat butter, cream cheese, vanilla and sugar well until smooth and creamy.
- Add cookie crumbs and stir carefully just to combine.
- Fold in whipped cream.
- Fold mixture into the cooled crust and let cool in fridge for an hour or so before cutting and serving.
