Raspberry Jam Strips

- 1 cup margarine shopping list
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 3/4 cup raspberry jam shopping list
- vanilla Glaze: shopping list
- 1 cup icing sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract shopping list
- 3-6 tsp. water shopping list
How to make it
- Mix margarine, sugars, egg and vanilla. Stir in flour and baking powder. (If dough is soft, cover and refrigerate at least 1 hr.)
- Heat oven to 350F. Divide dough into 8 equal parts. Shape each part into a strip, 8 x 3", on ungreased cookie sheet. Make slight indentation down center of each strip with the handle of a wooden spoon. Fill with about 2 tbsp. jam. Bake until edges are light brown, 12-15 minutes. Cool slightly. Drizzle with Vanilla Glaze. Cut diagonally into 1" pieces.
- Vanilla Glaze:
- Beat icing sugar, vanilla and water until smooth and of desired consistency.
