Old fashion Italian sugar cookies! The reason this recipe is not more elaborate is because it was my late Grandmother's and i wanted to keep her original recipe without any alterations.

Ingredients
- 2 ½ Cups Flour
- ½ tsp Baking Soda
- ¾ tsp Salt
- 2 Sticks Butter
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Sugar
Directions
- Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream together butter and sugar.
- Incorporate flour mixture with the butter and sugar.
- Bake 400oF for 10-12 minutes.

Love the way you preserved your Grandmother's recipe. My grandma Robert's recipes were often quite sparse on instructins and you had to be an experienced cook to follow her directions. Brava, dear for a lovely sugar cookie recipe.

I made this recipe tonight and one of your measurements is off.
A 1/2 cup of butter is 4oz whereas 2 sticks of butter is 8oz. It was confusing. So, I went with 1/2 a cup and they were way too dry, so I had to add another stick in at the last minute.
Other than that, it's a good recipe!
