How to make it

  • Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Cream together butter and sugar.
  • Incorporate flour mixture with the butter and sugar.
  • Bake 400oF for 10-12 minutes.

    ok this recipie is missing some things so i fixed it and it was the best recipie for sugar cookies ive ever had.

    i used one teaspoon vanilla instead of the last teaspoon sugar stated... then i used an egg cuz i think every cookie need one of 2 for moisture... then cooked in one inch balls rolled in sugar one inch appart...

    this came out great! i ate 3 of them before i even let them cool to decorate... and i dont normally indulge in sweets. they dont need iceing. since my guy cant have chocolate cuz an allergy, my opions for cookies and cakes are limited... this one on saving for sure! i just suggest the revised version i used!

    I made this recipe tonight and one of your measurements is off.

    A 1/2 cup of butter is 4oz whereas 2 sticks of butter is 8oz. It was confusing. So, I went with 1/2 a cup and they were way too dry, so I had to add another stick in at the last minute.

    Other than that, it's a good recipe!

    This is just like how I do my recipes at home. I just write down the ingredients, the cooking time, and bake. Sounds great

    Love the way you preserved your Grandmother's recipe. My grandma Robert's recipes were often quite sparse on instructins and you had to be an experienced cook to follow her directions. Brava, dear for a lovely sugar cookie recipe.
