How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 350F
  • Beat yolks until pale and frothy, then add syrup, vanilla and salt.
  • In another bowl, whip egg whites to stiff peaks.
  • Fold whites into yolk mixture.
  • Heat a large, oven safe pan and spray with cooking spray.
  • Add almonds, then egg mixture.
  • Cook over low heat 8 minutes. Transfer to oven and cook 8 minutes.
  • Serve hot.

    They're completely optional... you can leave them out if you prefer, or add in something like cranberries or blueberries.
