Layered Chicken Salad

- Salad: 7 cups torn romaine lettuce shopping list
- 4 cups of cooked chicken -skinles/boneless breasts-cooled shopping list
- 1 cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese shopping list
- 1 cup pecan halves shopping list
- 1 quart fresh strawberries quartered--about 3 cups shopping list
- Dressing: 1/3 cup olive oil or vegetable oil shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 tablespooon sugar shopping list
- 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, finely crushed shopping list
How to make it
- In deep 3 quart salad bowl, place half of the lettuce. Layer with chicken, cheese, pecan halves, remaining lettuce and strawberries.
- In small bowl or glass measuring cup, mix dressing ingredients with wire whisk until well blended. Just berfore serving , pour dressing over salad
- Variation--purchased red wine vinaigrette dressing can be used.
