Cupa,cupa,cupa Cobbler
From mandymoore 11 years agoIngredients
- 1 cup of self rising flour shopping list
- 1 cup of sugar shopping list
- 1 cup of milk shopping list
- 1 stick of butter shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1 large can of peaches or 2 smaller cans in juice or light syrup shopping list
How to make it
- In a small bowl mix the flour, sugar, milk, vanilla and cinnamon, sit aside.
- In a microwaveable bowl cut half of the butter and heat until just melted but not bubbling, pour butter into flour mixture.
- Pour peaches, juice and all into a medium sized baking pan (smaller than a 9x13, I usually use a 9 inch glass souffle dish, but believe it or not a round cake pan will work too.)
- Dot the top of the peaches with butter.
- Pour the flour mixture on the top.
- Using the end of a spoon handle, swirl the batter around in the peaches.
- Place into a 425 degree oven and cook until the the top of the cobbler is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
- Serve with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream, it is oh so yum, yum, yummy!
- Note: Blueberries are also excellent in this recipe. Just replace the peaches with 2 and a half cups of blueberries and omit the cinnamon.
