Oh what to do with all those beautiful tomatoes out there ripening on the vine? Sauce? Caprese? All good choices. But after visiting NYC and going on a food tour of Little Italy and having had the best fresh made ricotta (recipe coming soon), I decided to make some Tomato Jam to put on a crostini with fresh ricotta. Read more I only got as far as the Tomato Jam today, but I think it would be great on a burger as well. Sweeter than ketchup, and yet, so much more depth of flavor. I used only red, deep red tomatoes, such as brandywine and cherokee black and it is sweet goodness in your mouth. See less
