How to make it

  • Put peanuts in the pot of a slow cooker and fill with water to cover them.
  • Add remaining ingredients and carefully give a lil stir to distribute.
  • Cover and cook on low 15-24 hours, depending on your desired consistency. You can stir these after the first 10 hours or so, if you want. Peanuts should remain covered with water so if you're cooker is older or doesn't have a tight fitting lid, you may have to add more.
  • Drain well before serving. Best served warm, but make sure to refrigerate any uneaten peanuts. You can pop 'em in the microwave for a few seconds to serve, later, if desired.

    I had boiled peanuts years ago that were brought from NC. I just loved them and craved them for years. The ones I had were plain but am glad to see how easy these would be to do myself--thanks for the post.
