PEACH POUND CAKE

- 3 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 cup butter or margarine, softened shopping list
- 1 t. vanilla extract shopping list
- 6 eggs, at room temperature shopping list
- 3 cups flour shopping list
- ½ t. almond extract shopping list
- ¼ t. baking soda shopping list
- ½ t. salt shopping list
- ½ cup sour cream shopping list
- 2 cups peeled, chopped peaches shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 deg.
- Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan.
- In large mixer bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in extracts.
- Combine dry ingredients in a small bowl; add to creamed mixture. Fold in sour cream and peaches.
- Pour batter into prepared tube pan.
- Bake 75 to 80 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Makes 16 servings (about 400 calories each)
