How to make it

  • For the soup, simmer broth in a large pot. Add onion, garlic, oregano, chili powder, cumin, coriander, pepper flakes, and bay leaves; simmer 15 minutes more.
  • Stir in hominy and turkey; simmer 5 minutes, then stir in lime juice.
  • For the toppings, serve each bowl of soup with romaine, tomatoes, avocado, radishes, jalapeno, cilantro, limes, tortilla chips, and queso fresco.

    Shandy, Pozole is one of my daughter, Erin's, favorite Mexican dishes - I am going to surprise her with this after the holidays when we can all unwind a bit...this sounds so good, and believe it or not, I've never had Pozole - can't wait to try your recipe!!
