Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cream butter, add sugar, flour, salt, lemon juice and rind.
  • Add beaten egg yolks and milk.
  • Beat egg whites until stiff.
  • Gradually blend the two together.
  • Pour into 6 buttered custard cups.
  • Set cups in pan and fill pan with water halfway up the cups.
  • Bake at 325 degrees 30 minutes until set and lightly brown.

    I found it too sweet. I checked the recipe three times. I added a lot more milk to mine.
