Gooseberry Chutney

- 3 pounds gooseberries shopping list
- 1/2 pound onions shopping list
- 1 pound sugar shopping list
- 1/2 pint water shopping list
- 1/2 ounce salt shopping list
- 1 tablespoons ground ginger shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1 pint vinegar shopping list
How to make it
- Chop berries roughly.
- Chop onions finely and cook with the berries in the water until they are well softened.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer until chutney becomes thick stirring occasionally.
- Bottle while hot and cover immediately.
