Baked Mashed Potatoes

- 2 pounds peeled and cubbed potatoes shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup cream shopping list
- 1 tbsp butter shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- freshly grated nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 cup grated vintage cheddar shopping list
How to make it
- Put the potatoes in a pan, cover with cold water.
- Turn the heat on and let the potatoes boil until they are tender.
- Drain the water and mash the potatoes.
- Pre-heat the oven to 400F.
- Add butter, milk and cream. You might need to add more milk, it depends on how starchy your potatoes are.
- Season with salt, pepper and freshly grated nutmeg.
- Pour the mash on a baking dish. Top with the grated cheddar.
- Bake for about 20 minutes until the top is golden brown.
